The following listed responsibilities are prioritized, however as always the ability to react to change in the daily schedule will determine the most appropriate course of action.


1. Attend pre-press production planning meetings to review details of upcoming printed / laminated sales orders.
2. Obtain job jacket for next job on machine
3. Order raw material from warehouse according to specifications on job jacket.
4. Check incoming plates for compliance to specifications detailed in the job jacket such as lay out, copy and proper plate specifications
5. Ensure correct mounting specifications and rewind direction and mount plates in accordance to such specifications.
6. Direct the activities of the press helper in the preplanning of press changeovers.
7. Ensure that "Pre-press Check List" sheets are accurately completed for supervisory approval.
8. Ensure proper maintenance of press and related equipment. Report any change in press performance to the maintenance supervisor immediately.
8. Operate both press # 36 Aquaflex, and #39 Uteco maintaining the highest level of quality possible.
9. Document machine time and material usage on the "Printed Daily Worksheet" each day and turn in to the
production office at the end of each day or each job.
10. Document quality checks throughout the run on the "Run Check List" at least every roll.
11. Comply with all company safety programs, procedures and guidelines inclusive of safety walk around
inspection of the machine on a daily basis.
12. Upon completion of each job, ensure that raw material that is not used is documented and removed to
proper raw material storage.
13. Upon completion of each job, ensure that proper cleaning of machine is performed and all paper and
debris is removed.
14. Document all pertinent data unique to the production run for future reference in the pressman's log.
15. Moving Ink buckets from ink room to press area and staging ink, each bucket is 45 - 50 lbs.
