Job Description

Conducts timely phone interviews of lab confirmed cases to educate and collect epidemiological information such as demographics, clinical presentation and underlying medical conditions, and employment
Identifies close contacts of cases during the case s infectious period (48 hours prior to onset of symptoms and until when the case is under isolation), and collects the names, date of births, and phone numbers of close contacts
Ensures that cases are initiated within # of hours from time when received the case assignment
Enters accurately and timely the epidemiological information obtained from case interviews in the electronic surveillance database
Completes training's of the electronic surveillance databases, telephonic language assistance service,
Provides cases the COVID-19 isolation agreements and receipt of acknowledgment, and follows the CDC and MDH guidance of the release of isolation
Utilizes telephonic language assistance to conduct interviews of cases needing interpretations other than English

Job Requirements

Bilingual in Spanish
Strong communication skills
Strong writing skills
Strong computer skills

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years
of experience in health program administration, coordination, planning or supervision.
Equivalencies - Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience
1-3 years experience in conducting education, health education,
Experience with conducting education, health education,
Experience working in Public Health or another healthcare field
Highly competent at Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
